Summary Project Description: Renovations to existing building including but not limited to the following 1. Site work will include but not limited to complete reconfiguration of parking layout with new islands 2. Expanding parking lot, 3. New parking lot lighting, 4. Removal of multiple old trees on site, 5. Combination of new and redoing landscaping in parking lot and front of building (south side), 6. New exterior book drop off, 7. Miscellaneous interior work to provide, 8. New partial height activity wall for childrens area, 9. New finish materials including acoustical treatment of the entire clerestory, 10. Cleaning and resealing existing tile flooring in building lobby and restrooms throughout the facility. 11. Facility will remain open when possible during renovations. B. Contract Terms: Lump sum (fixed price, stipulated sum). Bid date notes: the Bids Shall Be Noted for Date and Time Upon Receipt. All Bids Shall Be Publicly Opened and Read Aloud at the Brownsburg Public Library. Bids Received After the time Will Be Returned Unopened. Bids Shall Be Received on The Form of Bid Proposal Furnished and Accompanied by the Required Supporting Documents Listed Within the Instruction to Bidders. No Other Form(S) Will Be Accepted. Mobilization Will Begin Upon Receipt of Notice to Proceed. Document notes: Bidders Shall Ensure That They Have Obtained Complete Sets of Bidding Documents and Shall Assume the Risk of Any Errors or Omissions in Bids Prepared by Reliance on Incomplete Sets of Bidding Documents. A Bid Security in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) Must Accompany Each Bid in Accordance With the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security Shall Be a Certified Check or Bid Bond. All Checks and Bid Bonds Shall Be Made Payable to the Brownsburg Public Library and May Be Held for a Period Not to Exceed Ninety (90) Days Before Awarding Contract. Bids Shall Be Properly and Completely Executed on the Bid Form Provided in the Bidding Documents. Brownsburg Public Library Reserves the Right to Waive Irregularities in the Bids and to Reject Any or All Proposals or Parts of Any or All Proposals.
