The City of Richmond, Va Department of Public Utilities operates the Richmond Wastewater Treatment Plant located on the south bank of the James River. The WTTP treats both sewage and stormwater which is then returned to the river. As part of larger efforts to upgrade the WTTP, the City intends to award a contract for the replacement of three existing 450/900 hp, 4.16 kV two speed motor starters for Pumps Number K2-1, K2-2, and K2-3 as well as the replacement of Bristol Babcock DPCs in Korah 1 and Korah 2/3 Pumping Stations with three new PLCs. Detailed specifications for the Project can be found in the attachment - "Technical Specifications Korah 2 Pumping Station Motor Starters and Korah 1/2/3 DPC Replacement." Question Deadline 09/20/2024 All inquiries requesting clarification of this Request for Qualifications must be made in writing no later than seven business days prior to the date set for receipt of Qualification Statements to the person (the "Contracting Officer") identified on the cover sheet of this Request for Qualifications As such, the staff takes special care to identify MBE/ESB contractors within the context of the nature and scope of each project and to assess potential MBE/ESB availability in Richmond's geographic market area. After careful review of the project requirements and the availability of potential contractors, the proposed goal for the Project is 5%. The City may cancel this Request for Qualifications as deemed by the City in its sole discretion to be in the best interest of the City.
