The rehabilitation project for the City of Sugar Land's Homeward Way Water Plant encompasses various tasks, including but not limited to: 1. Demolition and installation of existing pipes, fittings, motors, and pumps with skids as outlined in the plans. 2. Removal and replacement of one (1) 16-inch butterfly valve below grade on the pipe connecting the ground storage tank (GST) and booster pump suction header. 3. Removal and replacement of four (4) 16-inch butterfly valves below grade on the suction header line outside the booster pump building. 4. Removal and replacement of four (4) 12-inch butterfly valves on the suction side of the booster pumps. 5. Removal and replacement of two (2) 1,250 gallons per minute (gpm) booster pumps, one (1) 2,000 gpm booster pump and one (1) 2,000 gpm booster pump with VFD. 6. Removal and replacement of three (3) 10-inch and one (1) 6-inch globe-style silent check valves and four (4) 10-inch butterfly valves at the discharge side of the booster pump. 7. Removal and replacement of three (3) 16-inch butterfly valves on the discharge header of the booster pumps. 8. Replacement of four (4) 10-inch pipes on the discharge side along with their respective pipe supports. 9. Replacement of two (2) air/vacuum release valves on the discharge header. 10. Removal and replacement of 1/2-inch booster pump PVC drain lines. 11. Removal and replacement of the existing air compressor and associated equipment, along with all associated electrical work, completed in place. 12. Removal and replacement of two (2) existing windows with louver-type windows. 13. Clean, and repaint the exterior and interior of concrete masonry unit walls of booster pump building. 14. Fill openings on the wall penetration of discharge header pipe. 15. Removal and replacement of existing intake fan in chemical room. 16. Removal and replacement of existing overhead door and monorail hoist at booster pump building 17. All electrical works associated with the booster pump building rehabilitation. The City of Sugar Land seeks bids for furnishing all labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for the following project in the City: CIP PROJECT NAME: HOMEWARD WAY WATER PLANT REHABILITATION QUESTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS City of Sugar Land will be opening the Homeward Way Water Plant facility for anyone to tour tomorrow Thursday, September, 19, 2024 between 2:00 pm -3:00 pm. The City Council will award the contract as provided in the Invitation to Bid. The City of Sugar Land will give notice of the contract award within ninety (90) calendar days after the opening date and time.
