The work under this contract includes a Base Bid and two (2) Add-Alternate Bids. The work under the Base Bid includes the installation of five (5) Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) locations along the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway and installation of "No Turn on Red" LED blank out (NTOR) signs at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue at Maple Street in Lexington, MA. The work under the each Add-Alternate bid includes the installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) along the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway in Lexington, MA. At RRFB locations, in addition to the installation of the assemblies, the work will include earth excavation, sidewalk and/or pedestrian curb ramp reconstruction, conduit installation with service connections, pull boxes, traffic signs, and pavement markings, and other incidental work. The RRFB assemblies are proposed as a mix of solar-powered or AC-powered pairs for each location.
