GENERAL DESCRIPTION PLEASE REFER TO PROJECT PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS This project involves installing a pilot aeration system in a stagnant canal in Marco Island that is experiencing water stratification, leading to a loss of Dissolved Oxygen(DO). The contractor is responsible for supplying, installing, and constructing the canal aeration system, including all necessary equipment, parts, accessories, and other materials required for its complete and functional operation. The system must include a submersible aeration system that delivers sufficient oxygen transfer and water circulation to disrupt stratification layers effectively. The installation will involve securing aeration units at designated locations, ensuring proper electrical and mechanical connections, and integrating the system with existing infrastructure. The contractor must also conduct initial operational testing to confirm system performance and provide training to the city personnel on the operation and maintenance of the system. All work must comply with applicable local and state regulations. Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the Owner may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, orideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor. Anticipated Award Date: 10/21/2024 Question Deadline 09/13/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Please direct questions to Angela Johenning, Purchasing and Risk Manager at: AJohenning@cityofmarcoisland.com; or (239) 389-5011; or 50 Bald Eagle Drive, Marco Island, Florida 34145.
