The City of Fife seeks a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project referenced above. The work shall include, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct: structural earth wall, roadway planing and surfacing, roadway excavation and filling, erosion control, traffic control and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the WSDOT Standard Specifications. The estimated construction cost range is $460,000.00 to $500,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The time for completion of work is within 55 working days of the date appearing on the "Notice to Proceed". Prospective bidders shall submit all requests for clarification in writing to kgunther@cityoffife.org All technical questions regarding this project are to be submitted in writing, via email, no later than 3:30 PM, Friday, September 13, 2024. No verbal clarifications will be made. Addenda must be acknowledged in the bid submittal. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or surety company bid bond, on a form acceptable to the City, from a State-licensed Surety Company as surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Fife. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% project must be submitted by the Successful Low Bidder (herein after "Contractor") upon project award. Incomplete proposals and proposals received after the time fixed for the opening will not be accepted or considered. Faxed or emailed responses are not acceptable. All bidders must certify that they are not on the Controller General's list of ineligible contractors or on the list of parties excluded from Federal procurement or non-procurement programs. Bids may not be withdrawn after bid opening. The City expressly reserves the right to cancel the invitation to bid prior to the submittal deadline, reject any or all bids, and the right to waive any informalities or irregularities and to further award the project to the lowest, responsive bidder as it best serves the interest of the City.
