All pre-bid questions concerning the contract documents and the work contained therein should be emailed to Procurement@wnewbury.org Online Prequalification of Contractors With the Class of Work as, (Bridge - Construction), for the Project With an Estimated Value of $3,605,000 Will Be Required. All Bids for This Project Are Subject to the Applicable Bidding Laws of Massachusetts, Including M.g.l. C. 30, 39m as Amended. Attention is Directed to the Minimum Wage Rates to Be Paid as Determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the Weekly Payroll Record Submittal Requirements Under the Provisions of M.g.l. C. 149, 26-27d. The Town Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities, to Accept or Reject, In Whole or in Part Any or All Bids, or Take Whatever Other Action May Be Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of the Town. The scope of work for the bridge replacement includes but is not limited to, the following: installation of erosion and sediment control, control of water, demolition of the existing bridge and substructure, placement of riprap scour protection covered with 12 inches of natural streambed material and the installation of the bridge. The proposed bridge is comprised of superpave on a reinforced concrete deck with spread box beams supported by reinforced concrete integral abutments with steel piles, bridge rail, and other incidental work necessary to complete the proposed project.
