The bidder is responsible for checking the website for answers to inquiries Purpose The City of Caldwell is soliciting proposals from qualified solar providers to supply, design, build, and install a roof-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project for the Executive Airport building. Location: 4814 E Linden Street, Caldwell, ID 83605 The project should be sized to meet the actual electrical demand of the building, as evidenced by past utility bills, without producing surplus net metering credits, which would not be used. The system shall not be sized above 100% of electrical demand. Utility information is attached. Respondents shall have demonstrated experience designing, planning, scheduling, permitting, and constructing complete solar electric systems, have relationships with/knowledge of local utilities, provide project financial analysis and rebate support, provide system monitoring and maintenance, and have established onsite safety standards. Program Requirements The Potential Vendor shall design a roof-mount solar photovoltaic system and assess the building's structural integrity, roof condition, and shading limitations. o Each potential vendor shall be responsible for reviewing and understanding all terms of this Request for Proposal. Failure to thoroughly examine or request clarification on RFP terms may result in disqualification. o Each potential vendor must apply for the appropriate permits: a Commercial Building permit with a complete set of drawings and an Electrical permit after the Commercial Building permit has been issued. o The installation must be for the development, implementation, and installation of onsite renewable energy technology (e.g., solar energy) o Renewable energy technology must generate electricity or result in more efficient heating/cooling. The renewable energy source need not provide a building's entire electricity usage, and not all the electricity needs to physically go into the government building.
