Base Bid Work to be performed under this contract generally consists of the installation of 1,380 LFof 12" gravity sewer pipe, 4 manholes 1,555 LF of 8" pressure sewer, highway bore for 325 LF of 8"pressure sewer in a 16" steel casing pipe, and miscellaneous pavement and surface repairs. Each bidder shall file with his bid a cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond for 5 percent of the total amount of the bid made payable to the City of Nevada, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as Owner. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, acceptable to the Owner in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, in conformity with the requirements in the General Conditions. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. All Bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the Owner for any damage or claim brought by any Bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the Bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the Owner because of such rejections. The filing of any Bid in response to this advertisement shall constitute an acceptance and agreement of the Bidder to these conditions. Question Deadline 09/18/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
