The project consists of replacing a 24-inch concrete lined steel pipe and installing 89 feet of new 30-inch HDPE DR 11 and installing new services on the existing Asbestos Cement pipe in West Valley. Work covered under this Contract, Granger Hunter Improvement District, 24K: 6400 West & 3100 South Anderson Line Repair Project shall be constructed with the 6400 West and 3100 South intersection and along parts of 6400 West as indicated on the drawings. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the facilities and appurtenances thereto as included in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Obtaining all permits. 2. Project supervision 3. Mobilization/ Demobilization 4. Demolition and removal of existing water lines. 5. Installation of a new water lines, residential services, air release valves, valves, and all work as shown on the Drawings. A Base Bid schedule and Bid Alternate schedule is associated with this project. The Base Bid schedule includes installing a new 24-inch HDPE line in a new alignment. The Bid Alternative schedule includes installing a new 24-inch HDPE line in the existing alignment by removing the existing 24-inch SC line. The engineers estimate is $500,000.00. C. Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the OWNER's judgment, the lowest responsive responsible bid of a bidder or group of bidders. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security will be returned to each unsuccessful Bidder after tabulation and award of the Construction Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. A pre-bid conference and site tour will not be held. The Work will be Substantially Completed on or before Wednesday April 30, 2025 and shall not to exceed 60 calendar days. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the OWNER. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the time established for receiving bids or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) calendar days after the day of Bid opening. Bidders who withdraw their bid after Bid opening, but before expiration of said period, shall forfeit their bid security if Notice of Intent to Award to the successful Bidder is made by OWNER. Form of Bid Security: The Bid Security may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, cash, or Bid Bond. No other form of Bid Security will be accepted. A Bid Bond must be issued by a licensed Utah agency on behalf of a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah. A cashier's check must be drawn on a bank doing business in the State of Utah and made payable to OWNER. If a cashier's check is used in lieu of a Bid Bond, or if the Bid Bond does not specifically so provide, a certificate from an approved surety company guaranteeing execution of performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the bid must accompany the bid.
