The work shall begin after issuance of a ''Purchase Order''. Estimated start date is 10/15/2024. Final completion date is projected at 12/10/2025. The successful Bidder accepts this contract with the understanding that should they fail to complete the work/delivery in an acceptable manner and in the time stated, shall be subject to payment of liquidated damages as stated in the bid document. Liquidated damages for this project are as follows: $500.00 /per day substantial completion deadline missed and $500.00/per day completion deadline missed. BID BOND: Bidders are required to submit a bid bond for each location in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that may exceed $100K. For example: If you bid on both locations, please provide a separate bid document for each location PERFORMANCE AND LABOR BOND: The successful Bidder(s) will be required to submit a performance and/or labor bond, Cashiers or Certified Check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that exceeds $100K. The Scope of Work for the Ford Rd ES HVAC Replacement project shall include and not be limited to the following: Replace Existing chillers Replace Existing cooling towers Replace Boiler/Chiller pumps, New hydronic specialties (Air separators, expansion tanks, circuit setters, manual isolation valves Balancing valves, triple duty valve etc.). Replace Existing boiler with high efficiency condensing boilers, all pumps, hydronic specialties. Replace piping within the mechanical room and anywhere that is required to complete the project. New water treatment. Must use MSCS current approved chemical treatment vendor Upgrade all controls including bypass valves, mixing valves and isolation valves, supply & return sensors on boiler & chillers, supply & return temp sensors on dual water, supply & return temp sensors to building, OAT sensor, relays to start/stop all equipment (UVs, FCUs, RTUs, Pumps, Boilers, Chillers, etc.) & current transducers on all equipment, building controller and cloud devices, Replace equipment communication wire, trunk, com Replace Packaged Roof Top Units Rebalance the system Meet latest Local code and Ashrae Standards Follow the latest Design Guide attached. Design Build Project owner to be included during the A/E process.
