Question Deadline 08/25/2024 at 10:00 PM CT Overview The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for an Iowa licensed contractor to construct a new 1500 ton salt storage structure at the Missouri Valley Maintenance Garage location, as per the attached plans and specifications. Work to be done during regular working hours and days M - F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm CT, coordinating with site supervisor for day-to-day operations. Site location: 2308 Hwy 30E Missouri Valley, IA 51555 A Bid Bond is not required for this solicitation. A Performance Bond will be required of only the Awarded Contractor (see Attribute #3). DOT Estimated Start Date: September 23, 2024 This is the onsite start date, Awarded contract may provide submittals following the Notice to Proceed. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract) Estimated Completion date: June 27, 2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). Inspection by Iowa State Building Code Bureau. Awarded Contractor to adhere to warranty as defined in specifications. Awarded contractor must be an Iowa licensed, bonded and insured contractor. Electricians must also be Iowa licenses bonded and insured. Communication: Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation.
