The scope of Work contemplated for the abovenamed Project includes removal of the existing basketball asphalt pad, goal post, footing, and trees, and providing a new basketball court, concrete pads and benches, chain link fencing, asphalt walking path, concrete sidewalk replacement, soil erosion measures, and site restoration and other associated work described in these Contract Documents. An award will be made or Bid Packets will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the opening of the Bid Packets, during which time the Bid Packets shall be irrevocable and unavailable to withdraw by Bidders, unless otherwise extended in the Contract Documents. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by T&M Associates, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications and include the bid in paper format and a USB flash drive containing an electronic copy of the bid, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and addressed to Rebecca Andrews, Acting Township Clerk, Room 201, of the Evesham Municipal Building. It is the bidder's responsibility to see that the bids are presented to the Township, Clerks Office, no later than, or prior to, the hour designated. Bids will be accepted via certified mail, overnight delivery, or hand carry; however, the Township disclaims any responsibility for bids forwarded by certified or overnight mail. If the bid is sent by overnight mail, the project name must also appear on the outside of the delivery company envelope. Absent an immediate and legally cognizable explanation for a late bid, bids received after the designated time and date will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "Township of Evesham" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of this Project is required. The award of the Contract for this Project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by Township of Evesham in a lawful manner. The Township of Evesham intends to award this Project to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder in accordance with applicable law. The Township of Evesham reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Packets to the extent permitted by law. Question Deadline 08/23/2024 at 5:00 PM ET
