The County reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or part of any bid and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid. The prices proposed by the Bidder shall be the base prices to be paid for services beginning April 1, 2025. All new carts shall be delivered early in calendar year 2025 to allow for pickup services to start on April 1, 2025. Any contract resulting from this ITB will become effective upon bid award (or within 30 days of award notification, approval of the Jefferson County Commission and work authorization issue). This bid shall begin early in 2025 when cart delivery should be started. Waste pickup will start on April 1, 2025, and terminate upon revocation of the collection permit issued by the Health Department or on March 31, 2028, whichever occurs first. The Jefferson County Commission may offer the option to renew the contract for three additional one-year terms. The one-year renewal period will be automatic unless notification is given by either party that they intend not to renew the contract. Such notification must be given a minimum of 180 days prior to the beginning of the next one-year term. Project Description: Collection, hauling and disposal of non-hazardous and non-infectious solid waste from single-family residences within unincorporated Jefferson County to an appropriate municipal solid waste facility. Construction Cost Estimate: $12,000,000 to $20,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
