The project consists of a condition assessment of approximately 64,000 linear feet of monolithic Metropolitan Interceptor Sewer (MIS) and large-diameter pipe at the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility to determine the impact of performance related to potential hydrogen sulfide exposure. The MIS diameter ranges from 42"-96" and ranges in shape from circular to special section. The project is split up into five areas throughout the service area. There are 85 manhole structures throughout the alignment of the MIS that will require condition assessment investigation as well. The contractor will be required to utilize multi-sensor inspection (MSI) to determine the condition of the pipe. The MSI assessment should include HD CCTV, LiDAR, Sonar and hydrogen sulfide sensors. The contractor is responsible for collecting core samples of the MIS pipe thickness, traffic control, site restoration and flow control.
