Scott County Public Works is seeking qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the construction of a 100' x 30' post-steel building. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary tools, equipment, labor, materials, and transportation to complete the project as outlined in this document. The post-steel structure shall be constructed on the vacant corner lot next to the Scott County E-911 Building in Gate City, Virginia. The building must conform to the specified requirements and comply with the Virginia Statewide Building Code. 1. The Contractor will furnish all tools, equipment, labor, materials, and transportation needed for the construction, cleaning, hauling debris and materials, and completing the project described in this document. 2. Any site grading, excavation, backfill, landscaping, paving and any or all work or construction not specified in this document will be by others or can be negotiated and added to this agreement as an addendum. 3. The Contractor will construct 1 ea 100' x 30' post-steel building in place. a. This building will have 6x6 solid or built-up treated posts set in concrete mix footers. b. This building will have 24' trusses 10' OC. c. This building will have 2x6 roof purlins set in metal hangers 20" OC. d. This building will have 2x6 side wall girts 30" OC. e. This building will have full 3" vinyl backed fiberglass insulation. f. This building will have 2 ea. 9' wide x 9' high commercial garage door. g. This building will have 29 gauge painted tuff-rib steel roof and side walls. h. This building will have gutters and down spouts. I. This building will have 6' wire and rebar reinforced concrete floor. Floor to be sealed upon completion. j. Six single-hung vinyl windows, size 2030, will be evenly distributed along each 30-foot side wall (three on each side). The center of each window will align with the 7.5', 15', and 22.5' marks from the front corner of the wall. k. Three 4-foot wide left-hand (LH) exterior insulated metal doors will be installed: two on the front wall, centered 15 feet from the left and right corners, respectively, one in the back, 15 feet left corner, and one approximately in the center of the back wall. l. Two 9-foot wide garage doors will be positioned symmetrically on the right half of the front facade. m. Plumbing will be prepared for various fixtures, including single-occupancy restrooms with a toilet and sink, one ADA-compliant unisex restroom with a toilet and sink, a utility sink, and two kitchen sinks. Location Inside corner-lot of Hemlock Dr. and Nena St. Gate City, Virginia. Just north and adjacent to Scott County E911, 239 Nena St., Gate City, Virginia.
