The District is seeking proposals from qualified and competent contractors for exterior painting at one of our high schools, Orange Glen. Description of Work: Work to include exterior painting of all exterior surfaces that have existing paint, including fencing. The exterior structures include variable heights, some of which are gymnasiums and may require the use of a lift. Note, paint will be provided by the District. Contractor to provide own expendables (i.e. paint brushes, masks, surface protection, etc.) and will be responsible for any minor patches needed on any surfaces that require painting. Lifts to be provided by Contractor. Questions will be received up to September 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Estimated Start Date: October 9, 2024. Completion of Work: Project shall be completed by June 30, 2025. Each bid shall conform and be responsive to the bid plans, specifications and bid documents. A bid bond is required for this bid, amount to be 10% of Contractor's bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety company that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is authorized by the State of California, and all documents required by Code of Civil Procedure section 995.660, to the extent required by law. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or to reject any one or more items on a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
