DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work consists of improvements to the J. Will Johnson Reservoir Chemical Dosing including protecting existing facilities in place including 24-inch butterfly valves, air release valves, and chain link security fencing, maintaining influent water service to reservoirs throughout construction (except as specified for the work at the bypass vault), removal and disposal of existing 7,500-gallon steel storage tank, metal canopy, 55-gallon plastic storage containers, and 10'x10' adjustable canopy, removal and disposal of existing 24-inch pipe spools and couplings, disconnecting of two (2) existing chemical dosing pumps and associated tubing, demolition of existing asphalt pavement and existing electrical control panel, disconnection switch, and conduit, excavation for new vault, yard piping, and electrical conduit, installation of one subsurface precast concrete vault and restoration of adjacent asphalt pavement, installation of two 24-inch in-line mixers, , one24-inch sleeve valve, 24-inch butterfly valves, 2" PVC drainage connection around new vault, 3" PVC carrier pipe between new vault and existing vault, two 405-gallon dual wall chemical storage tanks, one scrubber tank, two chemical dosing pumps, and associated instrumentation, one chemical feed pump, chemical sample lines and dosing lines, one pre-engineered metal canopy, one power distribution panel, 6-inch electrical conduit, vault lighting, booster pump, motor starters, ground rods, and miscellaneous electrical fittings and supports, and construction of reinforced concrete pad. COMPLETION OF WORK: The Work must be completed within three hundred and sixty five (365) calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make award to the lowest responsible bidder as it may best serve the interest of the Owner.
