The County of Solano, County Parks Division, is seeking a contractor to provide latrine septic vault pumping services at various Solano County Parks. Also, other County departments or divisions may utilize this service at the same price rate awarded as the result of this IFB. The Parks Division operates five (5) locations, three (3) of which utilize waste vaults which are holding tanks only, with no septic leach fields, one additional park location which operates with three (3) leach fields, and one (1) park location with a system that is connected to a municipal sewer system (the services at this location are primarily for the maintenance of the existing vaults and are expected to result in scheduled annual pump outs). Sewage waste vault maintenance is essential in the provision of public access to the five (5) Solano County Parks. System upgrades are currently in process as part of multiple capital improvement projects. A result of these upgrades is the increased sustainability of the sewage waste vault systems through the installation of new waste vaults and pumps. These improvements are expected to stabilize the existing system and reduce the number of emergency pump outs due to existing vault pump issues. If there is a delay in posting responses, the bid submission due date may be extended commensurate. The County cannot assure any response to questions/inquiries received after this date. Period of performance for this contract is 34 months beginning September 1, 2024-June 30,2027. The County of Solano exclusively reserves the sole and independent rights to make an award in whole or in part or any varying combination (split bid) if deemed will be in the best interest of the County. The award may not necessarily be to the lowest bidder but to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder able to render services and perform the associated work in support of the County and fulfill all contract requirements.
