Middle School Lift Station Replacement Project. Description: The City of Douglas Middle School Lift Station Replacement Project includes the complete replacement of the existing building. Project includes 21-inch PVC gravity sewer installation, concrete vaults with inline macerating grinders, wet well construction with interior epoxy coating, excavation and dewatering, structural concrete installation, installation of prefabricated turnkey lift station capsule, force main installation with a horizontal directional bore under the North Platte River, water service installation, manhole installation and gravity sewer repair at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, electrical installation and backup generator, SCADA controls and programming and finally security fencing. During post construction of the new lift station, the existing lift station will be demolished and removed from site. Est. Value: $ 2,400,000.00. Est. Completion Date: Aug. 15, 2025. Site Directions: From I-25, take exit 140 into Douglas. Follow the off ramp to the first intersection and turn right onto Riverbend Road. Stay on this road for 3/4 of a mile then turn left onto W. Richards Street. Continue on W. Richards St for another 1/3 of a mile to Wind River Dr then turn right. In 1/4 mile, turn left in to the Douglas Middle School Soccer field complex and continue on the paved road another 1/4 mile. The project site will be on your right.
