**As of September 16, 2024, project was awarded to Yager Materials. awarded amount is $603,035.34.** The City of Owensboro (City) is seeking a Contractor to provide all labor, material, supervision, equipment, construction staking, and incidentals necessary to rehabilitate certain streets, parking lots, and cart paths by removal of areas that indicate base failures and reconstruction of these failed areas, milling and texturing the existing surface to remain in place and resurface the areas, all as directed by the City Engineer. When the term "City Engineer" is used in these documents, it is implied to mean the City Engineer and/or his representatives. The Contractor shall note the following completion dates: Final completion for the Base Bid Items 1 through 12 shall be on or before Friday, November 15, 2024. Final completion for the Add Alternate Bid Items 13 through 15 shall be on or before Monday, June 30, 2025. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the City, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Such checks will be returned promptly after the City and the accepted Bidder have executed the contract, or if no award has been made within thirty (30) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the Bidder any time thereafter, as long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. The Contractor will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond. Bond shall be furnished within ten (10) working days after receipt of award notification. The Contractor will be required to furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount to assure payment as required by any or all persons supplying labor and materials in the execution of the work provided herein. Bond shall be furnished within ten (10) working days after receipt of award notification. The City of Owensboro reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids received, to take exception to these bid specifications, or to waive any informalities, to negotiate all terms and conditions, or to cancel or amend in part, or entirety, this bid. The right is also reserved to award bids based on the best interest and/or most advantageous to the City of Owensboro.
