The Lubbock County Commissioners Court is requesting proposals from firms for the services of Micro Surfacing of approximately 15 miles of Lubbock County roads. Question Deadline 07/23/2024 at 2:00 PM CT All questions related to the scope of services or questions concerning the submittal of Proposals shall be posted to Lubbock County Purchasing website and the Lubbock Countys online bidding Lubbock County Purchasing Department Attn: Director of Purchasing 916 Main Street, Suite 503 P.O. Box 10536 Lubbock, Texas 79408 Fax: (806)775-7981 E-mail: cwehrman@lubbockcounty.gov The Contractor shall pay to the owner $1,300 per day for each calendar day after that until completion as liquidated damages. Firms may submit proposals electronically by uploading required documents at Lubbock County partners website, Bonfire, If submitting electronically, do not submit paper documents. along with the vendor name and address on the outside of the envelope or container to the office of the Director of Purchasing Physical: Lubbock County Purchasing Department Attn: Director of Purchasing916 Main Street, Suite #503 Lubbock, Texas 79401 Mailing: Lubbock County Purchasing Department Attn: Director of Purchasing Po Box 10536 Lubbock, Texas 79408 The Micro-Surfacing, with locations and materials as designated by the Countys representative shall be completed no later than September 30, 2024. The Contractor may begin as soon as they receive the Notice to Proceed, and proceed until all designated locations are completed. The Department may make changes in the scope of the work required to be performed by the Contractor under the Contract or making additions thereto, or by omitting work there from, without involving the Contract, and without relieving or releasing the Contractor from any of his obligations under the contract or any guarantee given by him pursuant to the Contract provisions, and without affecting the validity of the guaranty bonds, and without relieving or releasing the surety or sureties of said bonds. All such work shall be executed under the terms of the original Contract unless it is expressly provided otherwise Except for the purpose of affording protection against any emergency endangering health, life, limb or property, the Contractor shall make no change in the materials used or in the specified manner of constructing and/or installing the improvements or supply additional labor, services or materials beyond that actually required for the execution of the contract, unless in pursuance of a written order from the local Public Agency authorizing the Contractor to proceed with the change. No claim for an adjustment of the contract price will be valid unless so ordered. If applicable unit prices are contained in the agreement (established as a result of either a unit price bid or a Supplement Schedule of Unit Prices) the Department may order the Contractor to proceed with desired changes in the work, the value of such changes to be determined by the measured quantities involved and the applicable unit prices specified in the contract; provided that in case of a unit price contract the net value of all changes does not increase or decrease the original total amount shown in the Agreement by more than twenty-five (25%) percent. All bids must be accompanied by a cashiers check or certified check, made payable to the County of Lubbock, Texas, or an acceptable bid guaranty in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid Performance / Payment Bond - If the contract amount is $100,000.00 or more, Contractor shall furnish County a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject all proposals.
