Base Building (BB) Electric Vehicle Charging Systems infrastructure installation in existing buildings and facilities. This project will help support the objectives of the government's greening strategy to transition the vehicle fleet to plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles. for TIMELINE: Contract has been awarded for engineering services to review the existing electrical charging capacity for each building and design the electrical and associated infrastructure. Reference Number: 0000274164. The awarded engineers will - review an existing electrical load capacity for each building, and design electrical and associated infrastructure required to render the facilities Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) ready; - complete an Infrastructure Readiness Assessment (IRA) which will determine how many EVCS the current load capacity can accommodate; - provide the design development plans and specifications, class estimates, construction administration, commissioning, and close-out documentation . Design, tender and construction timelines will be established according to the owner's internal scheduling. Further update in early 2025.
