The project consists of the construction of approximately 1,600 linear feet of new 12-inch diameter PVC purple pipe non-potable water line. The new line will tie into an existing 8-inch non-potable water line in a private easement on the north side of FM 1626 with a new tee and three gate valves, two additional gate valves in the private easement, fittings, and a safety end treatment outfall. Work to be completed is in a private easement adjacent to FM 1626 and ending in the right-of-way of Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas. The abandoned 8-inch line in the Interstate 35 right-of-way is to be excavated, removed, and disposed of, with a cap placed on the existing line at FM 1626 for future use. Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified cashiers check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, payable to Onion Creek Water Service Company in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in Section 00 43 13, Bid Bond. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Onion Creek Water Service Company, appear to be in its best interest. Question Deadline 09/12/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Enginer in writing.
