Renovation of Roofs and Exterior Walls for Historic Rental Initiative. SCOPE OF WORK (SOW) 6.1 All work to be completed in accordance with Exhibit (B) Roof Replacement & Exterior Wall Renovations Project. 6.2 Build America, Buy America Act ("BABAA") - The Act requires the following Buy America preference: (1) All iron and steel used in the project are produced in the United States. This means all manufacturing processes, from the initial melting stage through the application of coatings, occurred in the United States. (2) All manufactured products used in the project are produced in the United States. This means the manufactured product was manufactured in the United States, and the cost of the components of the manufactured product that are mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States is greater than 55 percent of the total cost of all components of the manufactured product, unless another standard for determining the minimum amount of domestic content of the manufactured product has been established under applicable law or regulation. (3) All construction materials are manufactured in the United States. This means that all manufacturing processes for the construction material occurred in the United States. (4) Construction materials means articles, materials, or supplies that consist of only one the listed: Non-ferrous metals; Plastic and polymer-based products (including polyvinylchloride, composite building materials, and polymers used in fiber optic cables); Glass (including optic glass); Fiber optic cable (including drop cable); Optical fiber; Lumber; Engineered wood; and Drywall. (5) Covered Materials includes the following when used in connection with an Infrastructure project: (mean buildings, structures and real property). (1) all iron and steel; (2) all Manufactured Products; and (3) all Construction Materials. 6.3 Bidders must submit a Bill of Material (BOM) along with the price proposal depicting items associated with BABAA requirements. Failure to provide a BOM will be considered non-responsive and no further consideration will be given to the proposal. Any contract issued as a result of this solicitation will have ninety (90) days and work will be performed between the hours of 8:00 A.M and 5:00 P.M. Monday - Friday. This project will have liquidated damages of $200.00 per day. Deadline for the Receipt of Written Questions to Purchasing@housingforhouston.com 4:00 P.M. CST July 26, 2024. Deadline Answers to Written Questions will be posted on HousingforHouston.com 5:00 P.M. CST August 2, 2024.
