The scope of this project is to repair, replace and/or install fire dampers and access doors, in the DFO Freshwater Institute admin building, annex lab buildings, to ensure compliance of fire breaks for the building to fire safety requirements. Additional Description: 1) Repair or replacement of the fire dampers indicated in the drawings. Work will include the replacement of, repair to, or modifications of fire dampers or access doors as noted in the drawings. 2) Provide all materials, labour, all applicable building permits, plant and equipment, erect and maintain temporary work and all other items required under this Contract A bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date. A surety's consent indicating that, in accordance with section 5.18.1. of this ITT, the surety company will furnish the contract security which shall include a 50% performance bond and a 50% labour and materials payment bond of the Bid Price or a consent from the Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank that an irrevocable standby letter of credit in the amount of 50% of the Bid Price will be furnished. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, BGIS, in its sole and absolute discretion: 1. reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the Bids. 2. reserves the right to evaluate, accept or reject any Bid, whether or not completed properly and whether or not it contains all required information or is otherwise non-compliant, and BGIS is not bound to evaluate, accept or reject any Bid.
