The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in constructing: Gulf County Welcome Center Underpinning This project includes the removal and replacement of the vinyl underpinning with fiber cement board underpinning at the Gulf County Welcome Center located at 150 Captain Fred's Place in Port St. Joe, FL. All bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. All questions must be submitted to Silvia Williams at silvia@visitgulf.com. Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $250.00 per day. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Gulf County. Removal and disposal of existing vinyl underpinning to include encapsulated beams b. Notifying onsite management once existing vinyl underpinning is removed so a thorough inspection of the site can be conducted to note any necessary repairs to the structure c. Installation of fiber cement board underpinning in a manner in which to deter pest/rodent entry d. All fasteners to be stainless steel e. Painting and finishing the new underpinning to match existing structure f. Cleanup and disposal of all debris 3. All bidders are encouraged to visit the project site.
