Summary Of Work: The Port of Kingston is constructing a new restroom facility on the Mike Wallace Park portion of port property adjacent to the marina. The work includes 1) Site preparation; 2) excavation for new building foundation; 3) connection of water, sewer, and electrical, 4) construction of the new restroom, and 5) re-paving. Plumbing. HVAC, and Electrical components require design and permitting prior to construction. The Port reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, re-publish the call for bids, revise or cancel the work. or require the work to be done in another way if the best. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Port. There is no formal pre-bid meeting scheduled for this project. Questions may be submitted to krisw@portofkingston.org. Questions that cannot be addressed by direct reference to the bidding documents will be the subject of addenda issued to all plan holders.
