This project is for the construction of a new 14-unit T-Hangar building, including site grading and paving; construct connector taxiway, modify existing restroom, and relocate existing sanitary sewer. All inquiries and technical questions or comments related to this solicitation shall be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on June 20, 2024. All questions shall be submitted in writing. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total bid amount. A Contract Performance Bond and Contract Payment Bond each equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price will be required for the successful Contractor. No bid may be withdrawn until after October 15, 2024. The successful bidder shall commence work with adequate force and equipment on a date to be specified in a written order of the Owner and shall complete work within the time prescribed in the contract documents. Orange County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Orange County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to readvertise 23430012.000
