The project includes constructing a 3,800 SF addition to and 1,400 SF remodel of the existing building with associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Site work includes a parking canopy, chain link fencing and gates, concrete and asphalt pavement, storm and sanitary sewers, water service extension, electrical system improvements, landscaping, and irrigation system at the Post Oak Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Sherman. The project includes but is not necessarily limited to the construction of proposed remodeling of the existing building, building additions, pavement, sidewalks, sewer line, and electrical improvements at the Post Oak Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Sherman. The deadline to ask questions is 9/13/2024 10:00 AM CST Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) prevailing wage rate, as issued by the Department of Commerce, and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project Contracts subject to the Davis-Bacon Act are generally required to pay at least the applicable minimum wage rate required under Executive Order 14026 or Executive Order 13658. Please note that these Executive Orders apply to covered contracts entered into by the federal government that are subject to the Davis-Bacon Act itself, but do not apply to contracts subject only to the Davis-Bacon Related Acts, including those set forth at 29 CFR 5.1(a)(2)-(60). The Owner reserves the right to determine the best interests of the Project based upon the Owner's firsthand experience with or knowledge about Bidders, including information regarding safety. The Owner, however, reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to make the award in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and all proposals submitted are subject to this reservation. Proposals may be rejected for any of the following specific reasons. Bidders must submit with their bids a Cashier's Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of bid payable without recourse to the Owner or a proposal bond in the same amount. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of the contract, and a payment bond for the protection of all claimants supplying labor and materials. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such written questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days before the date for opening of bids may not be answered
