The Arkansas Department of Education is soliciting responses from interested General Contractor to provide services for the construction of Campus Improvements at the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and Arkansas School for the Deaf, DBA Project. Alternative Delivery of method of contracting and the Arkansas Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria. The Arkansas Department of Education seeks qualified General Contractors for pre-construction professional services and construction of a Campus Improvement project. The project is planned to include new construction of approximately 90,000 to 100,000 square feet containing instructional spaces, dining and kitchen space, library/media center, student health services, office spaces, and various support spaces. The project may also include improvements to existing buildings and campus site improvements such as parking & drives, sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, security, and utilities. The State encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit proposals for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities. Services Required But Not Limited To: Pre-Construction Services in coordination with Owner and Owner’s Design Professional’s; Project Construction, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GPM); Fast Track Project Management and Construction; Estimating; Sub-Contractor Competitive Bidding and Selection; Cost Reduction and Control; Project and Schedule Order Pricing; Schedule Control; Project Coordination; Project Closeout; Contract Document Closeout; Warranties.
