The City of Bristol, Tennessee is soliciting qualified contractors to submit bids for Fire Station #3 Driveway Replacement project. Please review all bid documents for project details and submission instructions. It is the purpose of this specification to remove and replace the existing driveway, curb, and cracked section of one of the bays. All material and work shall meet current TDOT specifications. This work consists of removal and disposal of all concrete and concrete curbs shown in the plans. All work shall meet TDOT Specification 202.03. This work consists of furnishing and placing one or more courses of aggregates, and additives if required, on a prepared subgrade. Mineral aggregates base shall be Type A. This work consists of furnishing and installing load transfer dowels. These dowels shall be at a spacing of no more than 3 as shown on the plans and shall follow TDOT Specifications 502-04.02 This work consists of constructing Curb, Gutter, or Combined Curb and Gutter of Portland cement concrete and shall follow TDOT Specifications 702. This work consists of constructing, on a prepared subgrade, Portland cement concrete Sidewalks, Driveways, and Median Pavement, excluding those Sidewalks, Driveways, and Median Pavement that are integrally part of structures. All concrete shall have at least 5000 PSI min compressive strength and contain at least 4% air content and fiber reinforcement, meeting TDOT Specifications 701 except for the above stated requirements A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each proposal by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond to the City of Bristol, TN. The successful Vendor shall furnish approved Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. Successful vendors are required to comply with the City of Bristol, TN insurance requirements.
