Underground Fuel Tank System Removal Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of a surety company legally authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten (10%) of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within ten (10)days after the Contract has been awarded and may also be required to furnish a Contractor's Qualification Statement. Hempfield School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to accept or reject any parts there of, or items therein, and to waive any defects or irregularities in bids and bid securities, and to make the award that is determined to be in the best interest of the Hempfield School District. The project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, P.L. 744 and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Acts. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the actual opening of bids. Bidders shall refer to the provisions of Federal and State Statutes, Rules and Regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public, natural resources that affect the project, said provisions being submitted as part of the Specifications pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approved October 26, 1972.
