Montrose County is accepting sealed bids from qualified asphalt paving contractors for hot mix asphalt (HMA) paving work on 9.73 miles of roads requiring approximately 23,831 tons of HMA. Refer to the enclosed list of roads and Site Location Map. For additional information, please see full bid package. Site #1 - 2650 Rd from Z50 Rd north to Z Rd and Z Rd from 2650 Rd east to end (1.21 miles) Site #2 - 2800 Rd from DD Rd north to Nucla town limits, DD Rd from gravel near airport east to 3000 Rd and 2900 Rd from DD Rd north to Nucla town limits (5.07 miles) Site #3 - FF26 Rd from Naturita town limits west to end (0.88 miles) Site #4 - 3700 Rd from Hwy 145 west and south to Angie Pit Entrance (0.38 miles) Site #5 - 42ZN from Miguel County line north to end (1.89 miles) Site #6 - AA Rd from 2700 Rd to 2650 Rd (0.3 Miles) Award may be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting applicable county and state procurement requirements. In reviewing the bids received, the County reserves the right to reject, for any reason whatsoever, any and all bids, and to waive any informality or irregularity in a bid. The County reserves the right to accept the bid that provides the best value to the County in the County's sole discretion. The action to award a contract is subject to approval by the Board of County Commissioners. The submission of a bid does not in any way commit the County to enter into an agreement or contract with that bidder. The bid award will be at a later date at a noticed, public meeting of the Board of County Commissioners. Any bid questions must be received by 2 pm local time, January 23, 2024.
