The scope of work consists of 400 L.F. OF 18" storm sewer, catch basin and necessary appurtenances. The estimate for the cost of construction is $85,500.00. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in favor of the Henry County Commissioners and the Village of Malinta, Ohio in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. 3. If you are an out-of-state corporation wishing to submit a bid for this project, you must submit an Ohio Certificate of Good Standing and the name and address of your Ohio Statutory Agent with your bid documents. This project is being funded in part by the Ohio EPA WPCLF and CDBG. Attention to bidders is directed to all the requirements in this bid packet, particularly to the equal employment opportunity requirements, various insurance requirements, utilization of Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRAs), State of Ohio requirements for subcontracting with MBE companies, and the requirement for a performance bond for 100% of the contract price. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to conform to all provisions of the Federal Davis Bacon and Related Acts (The Act) which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on federal contracts (and contractors and subcontractors performing on federally assisted contracts under the related ACTS) in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. The Henry County Commissioners and the Village of Malinta, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
