Reference Number 0000338923 Replace existing sanitary sewer line with new line. Any contractors that have not worked with Fountain Sanitation District before must show sanitary sewer line construction examples. Remove and replace approximately 452-feet +/- of 8" dia. Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) with an 8" dia. SDR-35 pipe. An estimated eleven (11) service lines will have to be reconnected to the proposed pipe. The inverts of two (2) existing manholes will need to be modified to accept a new water-tight seal for the PVC pipe. Question Acceptance Deadline 02/02/2024 at 4:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No -- Submit all questions about the Drawings or Specifications to the Engineer in writing. No pre-bid meeting will be required. All existing sanitary sewer pipe removed during construction is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of. 2) Contractor responsible for all asphalt damaged or removed during construction per city of fountain requirements. 3) Fountain Sanitation District has not located any underground utilities, this will be the responsibility of the contractor before digging. 4) Contractor is responsible for a traffic control plan that meets the city of Fountain requirements. 5) Contractor is responsible for all erosion control measures. 6) Contractor is responsible for pumping sanitary sewer flows from the upstream ex. manhole to the down stream ex. manhole, as well as any service line flows. 7) Contractor must submit compaction tests per FSD specs. prior to paving. 8) Existing manholes to remain, contractor responsible for modifications to the pipe entry points on the manholes to ensure a water tight seal. 9) Pavement thickness needs to match existing conditions or min. 5", whichever is greater, over 24" of aggregate base course. The base course is required regardless of the asphalt thickness determined. 10) Reattach ex. 4" sanitary sewer services lines with wye saddle tap within the trench. 11) All sanitary sewer service line grades to remain. 12) No pipe air test nor manhole vac test will be required. however, contractor responsible for video of pipe after construction for final approval. 13) Contractor responsible for geotech testing Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for five percent of the total amount of the bid on the form provided herewith. When the Agreement is executed, the bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The Bid Bond of the successful bidder will be retained until the Payment Bond and Performance Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond. A Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract on the forms provided by the Owner Submit all questions about the Drawings or Specifications to the Engineer in writing no later than three (3) days prior to the time set for receipt of bids. Corrections or clarifications shall be made by Addendum. Oral clarifications will not be binding.
