The Pittsboro Elementary School Road Sidewalk project includes construction of approximately 550 feet of sidewalk including stormwater work and a fire hydrant relocation as described in the Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications. Each proposal shall indicate the full business name and address of the Bidder and shall be signed by him with the usual signature. The award of the Contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the base bid whose qualifications indicate the award will be in the best interest of the Town of Pittsboro. The Town of Pittsboro reserves the right to waive technicalities and/or reject any or all bids The date of availability for this contract is the date the Contractor begins work but not before the issued date of the Notice to Proceed. The completion date for this contract is the date that is Ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after and including the date of availability. Except where otherwise provided by the contract, observation periods required by the contract will not be a part of the work to be completed by the completion date and/or intermediate contract times stated in the contract. The acceptable completion of the observation periods that extend beyond the final completion date shall be a part of the work covered by the performance and payment bonds. The liquidated damages for this contract are Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) per calendar day. The sealed bid must display the following statement on the front of the sealed envelope: "QUOTATION FOR - BL-0062: PITTSBORO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ROAD TO BE OPENED AT 10:00 AM ON, FEBRUARY 01, 2024." 15. If delivered by mail, the sealed envelope shall be placed in another sealed envelope and the outer envelope shall be addressed as follows: TOWN OF PITTSBORO Town Engineering Department Attn: Kent Jackson P.O.
