This work shall be completed within 6 weeks of the notice to proceed. Sultan reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, waive technicalities or irregularities, and accept any submittals if such action is believed to be in the best interest of the City of Sultan. All bids must be clearly marked: BID FOR Asbestos Abatement at 500 Alder Avenue City Owned Building Questions regarding this Invitation to Bid may be directed to the City Public Works Director at 360.793.2231 or via email at cityhall@ci.sultan.wa.us. 1. Remove and dispose of approximately 5,400 square feet of dry wall that contains asbestos throughout the house including the ceilings all the way to the studs. This work will also include: Includes labor, disposal, materials, permits, equipment, conduct air sampling before, during and after the asbestos removal, and insurance. Set up negative air pressure demand enclosure and seal off all air vents and breach to prevent crossed contamination. Work to be performed during days and times mutually convenient to the city and contractor. Work area will be cleared of any contents prior to start the asbestos abatement. All work to be performed in strict compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Water and electricity will be provided by the city. Detailed specifications can be found on page nine (9) of the attached document.
