The project consists of the following work at the existing site of the Kent Commons, 525 4th Ave. N, Kent, WA 98032. Demolition and replacement of existing finishes in areas of Kent Commons, including entry reception and information counter, back of house staff open offices, public corridors, public rest rooms, conditioning rooms, locker rooms and viewing areas of existing racquet ball courts. Included in the work is re-plumbing obsolete plumbing fixtures and area drains, creating private-enclosure shower stalls and a new family rest room. Included in the work is removing an existing CIP structural panel to allow a new room opening. Included in the work are revised and updated wiring and lighting fixtures. The City of Kent intends to have this project break ground by 3/18/2024. Please plan bids accordingly, For technical questions, please call or email Poppy Patterson (541-953-9740). A cashiers check, cash or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included with the bid. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most responsive, satisfactory, and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof. Note: The contract award will not occur until the City of Kent has reviewed all bids for responsiveness and responsibility determinations and the Kent City Council formally awarded the contract. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for sixty (60) days after the bid opening. 8475 SF, NON-STRUCTURAL INTERIOR TENANT IMPROVEMENT: WORK INCLUDES NON-STRUCTURAL DEMOLITION, NEW PARTITIONS, DOORS, SIDELIGHTS, CASEWORK AND FINISHES. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is approximately ($1.3 Million).
