The City of Tallapoosa is soliciting bids to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for the renovation of the old Sporri Building on 44 Lipham Street. SCOPE: The contractor is responsible for the following: Remove roof panels, rake trim, gutters, and insulation on the entire roof. Remove wall panels and insulation on the south and west side of the building. Any wall sheets that can be saved will be turned over to the city for future repairs. Remove the main front door and frame on the south side of the building. Remove all damaged sections of purlins, girts, rafter sections, and columns that are damaged. Provide and install all of the following: New columns, rafter sections, girts, and purlins back to original sizes and specs. New standard wall insulation and 26-gauge panels on the south and west sides of the building. New 3/0x7/0 frame, door, and commercial lockset. New trim on new walls. New standard roof insulation and 26-gauge roof panels, ridge, rake, and gutters with downspouts. The city will provide all dumpsters for debris. Please include copies of your company's W-9, general liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and warranty on workmanship and materials. The amount of the bond must be shown on the cost breakdown. The winner will receive an intent to award, and they will have 10 days to deliver the P &P bond before a final PO is issued. A minimum of three (3) references for which the company has completed services comparable to those described in this RFP. Include references for work performed in an environment comparable to the City of Tallapoosa. The City of Tallapoosa reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals in whole or in part and waives any informality in the competitive negotiation process. Further, the City reserves the right to enter into any one or more contracts deemed to be in its best interest.
