The project includes furnishing and installing approximately 100 lineal feet of 24" gravity sewer pipe, two (2) precast concrete manholes, approximately 140 lineal feet of 6" forcemain pipe, ductile iron pipe and fittings, capping abandoned gravity drains, and other miscellaneous construction items. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract. This contract contains the requirement that 50 percent of the workers on this project must be residents of Adams County, Illinois.
