A. The Contractor shall assume sole, complete, and continuous responsibility for storm water runoff management and erosion/sedimentation control during construction. The Contractor shall know and fully comply with the applicable provisions of the Manuals and Federal, State, and local regulations that govern the Contractor's operations and storm water discharges from both the project site and areas of disturbance outside the project limits during construction. B. The Contractor shall prepare a storm water management plan for all associated construction activities. This plan shall include drawings showing methods for erosion and sediment control, sediment treatment control, wind erosion, vehicle and equipment tracking control, and non-storm water waste management. The plan shall outline what measures will be used as conditions change along the alignment. The plan shall also include a description of the sequence of construction and all storm water control procedures to be used. C. The Contractor shall fully comply with all applicable state and local regulations and requirements related to storm water management and sedimentation and erosion control including San Bernardino County, City of Fontana, and Caltrans requirements. D. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform all installation, maintenance, removal, and area cleanup related to erosion control devices and practices necessary to prevent the movement of sediment from the construction site to off-site areas including surface waters, storm drains, and flood control facilities. E. The Contractor shall implement Best Management Practices (BMP) including good housekeeping practices and erosion and sedimentation control to prevent the direct and indirect contribution of any contaminants into the storm drain system or waters of the United States. F. The Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) shall identify pollution sources that may adversely affect the quality of storm water discharges associated with the project and shall identify water pollution control measures, hereafter referred to as control measures, to be constructed, implemented, and maintained in order to reduce to the extent feasible pollutants in storm water discharges from the construction site during construction under this contract. The (SWPPP) shall incorporate control measures in the following categories: a. Soil stabilization b. Sediment control c. Tracking control d. Wind erosion control e. Non-storm water control f. Waste management and material pollution control
