The Cherokee Nation is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the Jay Head Start located in Jay, Oklahoma (Delaware County). The Cherokee Nation will only be accepting sealed bids from General Contracting Companies to act as the sole primary Contractor. A bid guaranty equal to five percent (5%) of total bid must be included with the bid submittal. If a company is interested in the project, but unable to attend the mandatory site visit as stated, there will be an opportunity to meet the requirement on January 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. CT. by contacting (918) 570-9028 to schedule A performance bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent (100%) of the contract price. A "performance bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to secure fulfillment of all the contractor's obligations under such contract. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent (100%) of the contract price. A "payment" bond is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract.
