License Requirements General A Question Deadline 01/16/2024 at 2:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes - Valley Water Response to Bidder(s) ITB Questions and Clarification Anticipated to be on or near January 22, 2024. The purpose of this project is to replenish anthracite coal filter media in Filter No. 3 and Filter No. 4 beds. The Contractor shall supply and install the anthracite media into these filters. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to acquire and transport the media and to provide all personnel and equipment necessary for the installation of the media into the filters. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, and materials necessary to acquire, transport, supply, and install anthracite coal media into Filter No. 3 and Filter No. 4 to bring the total media bed depth to 36 inches including the sand and anthracite layers as specified herein. It is the goal of Valley Water to increase the use of local businesses in awarding procurement contracts. Therefore, during the evaluation of bids, Valley Water will grant a five percent (5%) preference to Bidders who have submitted a Local Business Enterprise Declaration as a local business according to Valley Water Ordinance 13-02. Each Proposal must be submitted electronically through online and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate of the Proposal including all additive and Supplemental Bid items if any.
