The engineer's estimate is $5,110,395.07 Work under this project includes, but is not limited to: asphalt concrete milling; placing asphalt concrete overlay; asphalt concrete pavement repair and replacement; remove and install storm drain pipes; install new manhole; mandatory use of recycled water; Portland cement concrete road base repair, removal and replacement of damaged sidewalk, curb, gutter and driveways; installing or replacing curb ramps, valley gutter, removal and replacement of concrete median curbs; installing truncated domes; tree trimming; traffic control; crack sealing; potholing; surveying; striping; signage; placing legends and pavement markers; site preparation; lowering manholes, catch basins, utility boxes, vaults and then raising back to grade following paving; repairs of six (6) bridges. Question Submission Deadline: January 10, 2024, 1:00pm Question Response Deadline: January 16, 2024, 5:00pm Work Commences (Tentative):April 1, 2024 Work Ends (Tentative):September 30, 2024 The City will verify the status of the contractor s license by checking the Contractor State License Board For all Bids greater than $25,000, Bidders shall submit a Bid security in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bid including all Bid Alternates. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 7203, if Contractor fails to achieve Final Completion of the entire Work within the Contract Time, including any approved extensions thereto, City may assess liquidated damages on a daily basis for each day of Unexcused Delay in achieving Final Completion, based on the amount of One Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-One Dollars and Sixteen Cents ($1,651.16) per day, or as otherwise specified in the Special Provisions.
