BIDS SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO ARE LICENSED UNDER LOUISIANA CONTRACTORS LICENSING LAW FOR THE MAJOR CLASSIFICATION OF GENERAL CONSTRUCTION. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond written in conformance with state law. Written evidence of the authority of the person signing the bid form should be included with the bid form. See La. R.S. 38:2212 B. (2) and (5). The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Performance, Maintenance and Payment Bonds on the forms provided by the School Board and written in accordance with state law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
