Metro is seeking landscaping services for nine properties with varying levels of landscaping services required. Background The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority ("SORTA") is a regional transit authority organized and operating under Section 306.30 et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code. As such, it is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation services and paratransit services. SORTA provides service to the city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio, and parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties. SORTA operates 46 fixed routes. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation and paratransit services through approximately 300 city-type transit buses and 50 paratransit vehicles. Question Submission Deadline:January 8, 2024, 2:00pm General Landscaping Services The listed properties are different in their design and usage therefore, not all services are needed at each facility. This section is an overview of general landscaping services. There will be outlined details as to what is needed at each location section. Mowing all grass and edging along sidewalks and parking areas, along with litter/trash pick-up will be required at all facilities along with turf weed control and fertilization. Weed control and removal on all parking areas and sidewalks that emerge through the cracks in the concrete and asphalt will be required at all locations as well. Mulching the flower beds, weed control (pre-emergent) along with Fall and Spring cleanup, i.e. cutting back perennials, removing dead plant material, etc. There are locations that will require some pruning around the property's perimeter, mainly honeysuckle and like trees, shrubs, etc. There may be additional occurrences of scoped services which would be requested and scheduled by the project manager. These would be at the fixed unit rate per service/per year. Typical landscaping season is March 01 - November 30 Anticipated 24 weeks of landscaping services will be required. All services are weather permitting. Requests for Clarification/Questions Any questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted through the e-Procurement Portal no later than 2:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2024 (EST). Telephoned questions will not be accepted. Proposers shall not contact any other SORTA personnel regarding any aspect of this solicitation. Any proposer found to have had such contact shall be barred from participation in this solicitation and any subsequent contract, either as a prime contractor or subcontractors. SORTA anticipates that responses to questions submitted will be provided to all known proposers by 4:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024. If the responses materially alter the terms of this solicitation, they will be incorporated in an amendment to the solicitation. No communication by SORTA or any of its Trustees, officers, employees, agents or representatives shall alter the terms of this solicitation or bind SORTA in any manner, unless incorporated in such an amendment.
