The Work under this Project generally consists of the restoration of approximately 535 linear feet of stream and open channels and includes the installation of new in-stream, structures, outfall repair, vegetation, and appurtenances to the work off-right of way within certain easements and common areas of the subdivision. Question Deadline 01/19/2024 If requested by the Owner, the following questions shall be answered in full by the Bidder and returned to the Owner within 72 hours. Bidders may contact Aaron Small, City Engineer (asmall@williamsburgva.gov) or Jamie Clark, Public Works Engineer (jclark@williamsburgva.gov) at (757) 220-6140 for any questions. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid This project is being administered by the City of Williamsburg. All inquiries for information should be directed to the office of the Public Works Director. Written questions related to the project will be accepted up to five (5) business days prior to the closing date; it is the Citys discretion to respond to any inquiries beyond this time. Emails are an acceptable form of written documentation. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2 Chapter 43, Code of Virginia is required. The Bidder shall include in its Bid the following notation: Licensed Virginia Contractor No. .11 Bid Documents may be examined at the offices of the Director of Public Works and Utilities, City of Williamsburg, located at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Bid documents are available Electronically. Neither the Owner nor any of its representatives shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including addenda, obtained from any other source. The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission's Regional Construction Standards, Sixth Edition, December 2010, are hereby referenced and are part of the Bid Documents, except as may be modified by the Special Provisions of this Project or as may be shown by bold type for additions and strike-throughs for deletions. Copies of the Regional Construction Standards may be purchased at the offices of the HRPDC, 723 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320 (Telephone 757-420-8300) or Executive Tower, Suite 1-C, 2101 Executive Drive, Hampton, VA 23666 (Telephone 757-262-0094). Bidders must be aware that these Bid Documents incorporate a number of changes, which supplement, modify, or replace language and/or Standard Details found in the HRPDC Regional Construction Standards. Details shown on the Drawings replace corresponding Standard Details found in the Regional Construction Standards. Changes from the Regional Construction Standards that appear in these Bid Documents are shown as bold for additions, and strikethrough a for deletions. Also, see Section 110 for additional references to Special Technical Provisions incorporated into this Project. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia and the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should Bid exceed available funds.
