Questions will be answered in the form of written addenda and provided to all Bidders, as per State of Illinois statutes. Anticipated Award Date - January 17, 2024. Construction - Subsequent to completion of contract documents and acceptance of insurance by the New Lenox Community Park District. Mobilization - May 1, 2024 Substantial Completion - October 5, 2024 Final Completion - October 24, 2024. 2.The work will consist of the following: 2.1.Removal & Demolition 2.1.1.Existing concrete curb and gutter 2.1.2.Existing concrete sidewalk 2.2. Erosion and Sedimentation Control installation, maintenance, removal, and restoration of silt fence and erosion control elements including stabilized construction entrance. 2.2.1.Compliance with NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) permit requirements 2.2.2. Compliance with Will County and Village of New Lenox permit requirements. 2.3.Site Construction Security Fencing 2.4.Stabilized construction entrance installation, maintenance, removal, and restoration 2.5.Construction Staking and Layout 2.6.Site Grading, stripping existing topsoil and stockpile, rough grading, placement and compaction, topsoil respread from stockpile. 2.7.Concrete Walks and miscellaneous flatwork 2.8.Installation of new on-site asphalt parking lot 2.9.Construction of new asphalt pickleball courts with perimeter fencing gates and windscreen 2.10.Construction of new asphalt basketball half-court 2.11.Construction of perimeter asphalt walking path 2.12.Construction of new pollinator garden including goose netting protection 2.13.Construction of new 24 x 24 pre-engineered Cedar Forest Product shelter/ pavilion. 2.14.Construction of new creative play area including resilient surfacing and drainage 2.15.Construction of new wiffle ball backstop 2.16.Installation of Owner furnished: 2.16.1.Shelter/Pavilion 2.16.2.Landscape Structures Inc. playground equipment 2.16.3.Site Furnishings 2.16.3.1.Benches 2.16.3.2.Drinking Fountain 2.16.3.3.Shade shelters 2.16.3.4.Pickleball plaza site furniture 2.16.3.4.1.Tables 2.16.3.4.2.Chairs 2.16.3.5.Waste Receptacles 2.16.3.6.Baggo court targets 2.17.Acrylic Color Coating and application of lines for various court areas 2.18.Furnish and install chain link black vinyl fencing and person gates. 2.19.Coordination with all trades for Owner furnished equipment and amenities: 2.20.Furnish and installation of storm sewer and underdrains and associated structures. 2.21.Furnishing and installing concrete curb and gutters, barrier curbing, walks, paths, and miscellaneous flat work. 2.22. Electrical service installation. Contractor under this contract to coordinate all work necessary to install electrical service to new park shelter/pavilion. 2.23.Installation of water service to new drinking fountain including, all required valves, vaults, meters, and buffalo boxes. 2.24.Installation of resilient surface Creative Play area 2.25.Installation of pollinator garden including cocoa mat erosion control blanket. 2.26.Turf restoration - seeding, fertilizing, and erosion control blanket. 2.27,Installation of landscape trees, hardwood mulch rings, and landscape beds as shown on the Landscape Plan. 2.28.Miscellaneous construction for a complete project as described in the plans and specifications. BID DEPOSIT: 4.1.A Certified or Cashier's check payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. In addition, each Bidder shall submit a proof of insurance demonstrating the Bidders insurability. Failure to provide a Bid Bond or proof of insurance may render the bid incomplete and subject to rejection. The Owner will require the successful bidder to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bond for the total contract. Once submitted, no bids may be withdrawn without written consent from the Owner's Attorney. The New Lenox Community Park District encourages minority contractors to submit bids for this project. The successful contractor is encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, etc. The Park Board reserves the right to waive irregularities and accept the bid which appears to be in the best interest of the Park District. All work performed under this contract is subject to all Prevailing Wage Requirements of the Illinois Department of Labor. 8.2.Certified payroll must be submitted to the Illinois Department of Labor and proof of Department of Labor (IDOL) must be provided to the NLCPD no less frequently than monthly.
