This project consists of the following but is not necessarily limited to the installation of new water main to replace existing water main in East Front Street from Madison Street to East Broadway, in Jackson Street from East Front Street to East Broadway, in Monroe Street from East Front Street to East Broadway, and across East Broadway to the east of Van Buren. A combination of new 12-inch ductile iron, new 8-inch ductile iron, new 10-inch HDPE, and new 6-inch HDPE will replace existing mains. The existing services will be swapped and connected to the new mains. Associated appurtenances and fittings necessary to complete the project are detailed in construction plans. Surface restoration of disturbed areas including asphalt, concrete, gavel, landscaping, and irrigation, and other miscellaneous work is included. The City of Missoula is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Missoula. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
